The 2024 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards highlighted significant achievements in the food, wine, and agriculture sectors, celebrating local companies' impact on South Australia’s economy, society, and environment.
Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) received the South Australian Wine Exporter of the Year award. Known for its quality and innovative marketing, TWE’s commitment to sharing Australian wine globally was recognized, with Kerrin Petty, TWE’s chief supply & sustainability officer, commending their team’s dedication.
The Yoghurt Shop took the Agribusiness, Food and Beverages Export Award for its expanding reach, serving over 25 million tubs across multiple countries since 2003.
Balco Australia, a key player in hay exports, earned both the Regional Exporter Award and Sustainability and Green Economy Export Award for promoting sustainable farming practices with its suppliers.
Regional leaders Viterra and Willoway Farming also garnered accolades, with Viterra winning Regional Business of the Year and Willoway Farming taking Family Business of the Year.
These award recipients will represent South Australia at the Australian Export Awards in Canberra on 20 November, where their accomplishments will be celebrated at a national level.
